PAN-AFRICAN-WOMENS-DAY-FLYER

STATE OF THE AFRICAN DIASPORA is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Topic: PAN-AFRICAN WOMEN'S DAY 2023

Time: Monday July 31, 2023 5:00 PM London, UK

The days session was opened by a brief address by Madame Zuma on Pan-African Women, followed by Opening remarks from Louis Georges-Tin supporting women empowerment. He thanked Madame Zuma for making SOAD a reality. There were other various panel presentations on female empowerment and protecting the boy and girl child together not one over the other.

ADDRESS BY EXCELLENCY GRACE KABAYO

1.There is no peace where there is no security. This is a very important point.

2. Agriculture -Food, Security and Environment
3. Water

4. Health & Education

Patriotic Pan African ideology...focus on UNITY.

Back each other up with Ubuntu spirit: I AM because YOU are.

Regional Integration:

Why is the similar economic principles of our forefathers not applicable now?

It was stated that we are going to develop and implement these rules in the 6th Region of Africa.
There will be diverse programmes for girls set up, health clinics, nutrition and sport clubs. Training for women and girls was stressed.
VISA Issue:

It is our duty to PUSH harder to get it implemented. Of late I can see some positive moves and be applicable to the Diaspora.

AFCFTA:

Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement. Currency issues must be resolved to move Africa toward economic emancipation.

Violence:

2020 Pan African Women declared that we should resolve the issue of the Boy Child and Girl Child side by side.

Guide our children as to what is expected. The Whole community will raise the children - THE VILLAGE SHALL RAISE THEM. THERE IS A CALL FOR INTEGRITY.

We are in partnership with Pan-African org in Morocco.

DIASPORA:

EXCELLENCY GRACE KABAYO:
there IS NEED TO HOLD A GENERAL MEETING. where WE HAVE 6-10 GROUPS that represent the Diaspora.

SOAD should identify those who play a part to be invited. Know who is doing what. We can solve the issue of competition and friction.

Proposing: Need for Diaspora to meet and iron out this issue, Leaving No One behind. SOAD as the State should carry all its children and Guide us.

Executive Meeting 2 weeks from now will be held…it will include Sexism Policy. Whatever we have negotiated we go into Ambassador, Heads of Government to present our Resolutions. These are usually accepted. What we have today. We will have another opportunity to sign another MOU (It has been tabled and the members are considering it.)

REVIEW:
Hold the meeting in Africa with Diaspora Groups: 2-3 countries that have accepted that meeting.

  1. Call for Diaspora Groups to meet in the continent – Govts. & Non-government stakeholders
  2. Policies proposed and SOAD will be signed at the most immediate time possible.
  3. Host all the Kingdoms of the Continent to include Queens, Princess, Queen Mothers (Queendom & municipality project) There should be a Main Summit and Side meetings. Excellency Kabayo spoke passionately and indeed her Call for the Continental Summit was well received by Queen VPM Amoako and Minister of Tourism, Sharon Parris-Chambers.

PRESENTATION:

Minister of Educatoin Minister Vimbai Chiwuswa:

USOAD Minister asked for a correction of wrong information taught to our Children from grade 0 all the way up. We are building our institution and teaching Pan Africanism and our religion.
We have gained knowledge from our ancestors. We have no excuse not to live the truth.
USOAD – Our Pillars: We are looking at justice, saying the truth, bringing innovation.
This should be part of our day-to-day life for it to become reality.

We will be working with women and men to enhance their possibilities.
We have partnerships and many Cooperative Agreements being signed.
One was signed with Women to empower them, the Education Minister said.
Prof. Sidi Osho will sign the official partnership with SOAD.
She said a few words. For more information please see Minister Vimbai Chiwuswa.
